First and foremost, this is your day!! 

You should be treated like you are important.  We greet all potential and contracted clients as if you are the only event of importance.  When it comes to you...you and your event are all that matters.  Each client we deal with walks through the door with a sign that says, "Make my dream day a reality."  To Strickly 4 U Wedding Planners,   it is your dream and your reality.  We do our best to make it happen.  You should feel comfortable with the persons responsible for making your day a reality.  We make you feel special, comfortable, and as if you were a life long friend immediately upon our first consultation.  You should feel like you are meeting an old friend, that knows your dreams and expectations of your wedding.  If at anytime you do not feel this way, please let us know. We need to know you and your dreams, to provide you with all you expect.  Our goal is to become the friend you didn't know you had and to make your wedding, PERFECT.

You are always the boss.   It is your wedding.  You are paying for a service---your planner should report to you in a courteous and professional manner.  While the planner does have a level of expertise and savvy, if you feel like the reins are being yanked from your hand or if you ever feel inferior, then let us know.  A wedding planner should take your intentions and make them picture perfect.

Your wedding is your wedding.  There are so many variables that can be thrown into the dynamics of planning a wedding.  Your Planner should not try to make your special day a "cookie cutter" wedding.  Each wedding is unique.  Instead, it should be seen as a vision of your wedding and what you want.  As your personal liaison, your wedding will be the one to represent your needs and wants to all vendors involved.  We will handle the "sticky situations with family and execute your plans during your event to provide you with what you expect.

Trust is important.  Your wedding is an investment.  It is an investment for the love you feel and will be remembered for the rest of your life.  You need to be able to entrust the details of your wedding to a consummate professional.  As your wedding planner we should explain everything to you at length and work with you within your budget and your vision.

Be accountable, organized and responsible.  These are not only good character traits, but are required skills in this trade.  All paper work, dossiers, contracts, etc. pertaining to your account should be kept in an organized format and ready at all of your appointments.  Any payments or decisions made on your behalf should be done under your watchful eye and with your approval.  You should be able to trust all of the details of your wedding with your planner.

Creative Genius.  You should be able to give some of your best ideas to your coordinator, and they should be able to "sweeten the pot" with the creative ideas and styles of the coordinator.  Also, a planner should have several types of resources and inspirations to pull from to crate your ultimate wedding fantasy.

Remember these simple characteristics and your ideas, and you will be able to get the assistance you need for your wedding day.  You will be stress-free at the wedding that has always been your dream, which means you can enjoy your family and friends more, knowing it is in capable hands.
